is currently hiring for these positions:


LODGING OPERATIONS MANAGER: Wolf Creek Utah is a four-season resort community located in the northern Ogden Valley.  Wolf Creek Utah Lodging currently manages a folio of 90 properties with the potential to double in the next two years.  The Operations Manager reports to the resort General Manager and will work with the Wolf Creek Utah leadership team superintending all functions relative to resort lodging .

The position will focus on raising the standard of property management of existing properties, assistance with the development and acquisition of new properties, increasing inventory, occupancy and revenue, delivery of outstanding guest experience and maintaining a strong team environment. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing / performing daily tasks associated with overseeing the housekeeping, reservations, maintenance staff and owner services.
  • Routine and period inspections of lodging units to insure standards are consistently delivered.
  • Review and understand the contractual obligations of the management and accounting services
  • Timely resolution of guest concerns  while upholding Wolf Creek Utah’s high standards of guest experience
  • Maintaining and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 90 properties
  • Ensure all policies are followed in accordance with both homeowners and company policies
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of project approval documents
  • Maintaining and updating the files for the current portfolio of properties
  • Responsible for maintaining database to track lease critical information
  • Review annual / monthly billing statements and assist accounting to assure timely and accurate payments.
  • Provide regions with annual operating budgets for all leased property
  • Provide management and support to employees, ensuring that all hiring practices, employee disciplinary actions, and expectations of employees are in accordance with the federal, state and local laws.
  • Effectively communicate the resort’s mission, vision, and operating standards to all staff members and ensure consistent delivery of guest services of the highest quality.

Candidate must:

  • Have proven performance in successfully setting and reaching occupancy goals and costs
  • Possess exemplary guest service and leadership abilities
  • Be highly motivated and available to deal with guest issues including weekends and holidays
  • Have 5 years experience in property management
  • Have excellent organization, management and communication skills
  • Be very professional in working with guests, owners and employees
  • Results oriented
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Highly organized, detailed and accurate
  • Ability to personally take responsibility for projects and areas of work in an independent manner
  • Ability to excel in fast-paced multi-task environment

WOLF CREEK ADVENTURES CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Part time/seasonal employee to start ASAP. Must have good customer service skills, available Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Noon to 6:30 PM. Person will be outside helping with customers while they are waiting for sleigh rides. PART-TIME BANQUET SERVERS: Must be able to provide professional and courteous service, communicate effectively in a friendly manner. Be able to lift and carry 30 lbs. HORTICULTURIST: Under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, manages the greenhouse and nursery to produce and install ornamental landscaping for the golf course and clubhouse properties.
 
 Typical functions: Manages the greenhouse and ornamental nursery facilities; propagates and grows plant materials for ornamental use on and around the golf course, clubhouse and other buildings. Cultivates shrubs and flowers, trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery.  You will need to apply pesticides and fertilizers to ornamental plantings, under the direct supervision of the Superintendent.  Advises the Superintendent of the need for tree trimming services.  Responsibilities may change as needed or as see fit.

Employment standards: Knowledge of the characteristics, growth habit and proper cultivation of a wide selection of flowering bulbs and annual, biennial and perennial plant materials, including both herbaceous and woody plants. May require a current state pesticide applicator license. TRIPLEX OPERTOR / GROUNDSKEEPER: Under the direction of the assistant superintendent, operates light motorized equipment, and trucks on the golf course, and does related work as needed for golf course maintenance. Once completing the mowing under the supervision of the assistant superintendent, performs routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance; does semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work; operates small hand-powered equipment; and occasionally performs work involving large equipment such as tractors, loaders and gang mowers. Each groundskeeper may be assigned responsibility for the care and maintenance of several designated holes on the golf course and does related work as required.

Typical functions:

  • Mows greens, tees, approaches to greens, and other areas not accessible with gang mowers; rakes sand traps with power rakes.
  • Maintains gasoline, and oil daily; and reports equipment problems and failures to equipment manager immediately.
  • After mowing is completed, operates string trimmers in trimming areas around tees, around trees, fence lines, banks and hillsides; edges of cart paths; edges, rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
  • Returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility; and cleans the maintenance areas.
  • Helps in project work; assists in the construction of new greens, tees and fairways; grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds tees, and fairways.
  • Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
  • Must be able to mow to a certain standard that is approved be the Superintendent or the Assistant Superintendent.  He/She will be evaluated approximately 3 weeks after starting date, if this criteria is not met then he/she will be assigned a new job responsibility on the golf course.
